Homemade Applesauce Bread
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (195 grams)
- 1/2 cup whole wheat flour (65 grams)
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1/4 cup walnuts-toasted
- 1 egg (lightly beaten)
- 1&1/4 cup applesauce (295 grams)
- 1/4 cup any flavourless oil (55 grams)
- 1/2 cup plain yoghurt (120 grams)
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar (100 gram)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla ectract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together dry ingredients.
- In another bowl, whisk wet ingredients until smooth.
- Gently fold wet ingredients into dry, avoiding overmixing.
- Pour batter into prepared pan, sprinkle toppings if desired.
- Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
- Slice and enjoy!
