My Story
I’ve been baking since I was 13. Back then my whole repertoire was two cakes: a simple vanilla cake and a plain chocolate one. I baked them again and again, and I was hooked.
Life then took me down other paths. I became a teacher, and later an entrepreneur, founding my own IT consultancy in 2009. Through all those years, baking stayed with me: weekend cakes for the family, birthday bakes for friends, and recipes people kept asking me to share.
Then, on Christmas Day 2017, in an ordinary kitchen with no special equipment, my son Krishnam picked up an old iPhone 5 and filmed my hands while I baked. He edited it, we uploaded it, and there was no looking back.
Today, nearly 80,000 home bakers follow along on YouTube, and I still film, style, and write everything myself from my home kitchen in Jalandhar, Punjab.

Why You Can Trust My Recipes
I started my working life as a teacher, and I still write recipes the way I used to teach: step by step, with the reasons explained. Every recipe here is baked, photographed, and written by me in a regular home kitchen, with ingredients you can find in an Indian market. If something can go wrong, I’ll tell you what to watch for before it happens.
Beyond the Kitchen
When I’m not baking, I’m writing, whether that’s poetry, reflections on slow living, or the occasional note on life and work. I’m also a mother of two grown sons who still put in requests for brownies.
